You need JavaScript enabled to view it. - Lamb & Wool Management Instructor Philip Berg was born and raised on a Pipestone area sheep farm and continues to work with his family's sheep operation. He graduated with an Animal Science degree from South Dakota State University and also received a Master's Degree in Animal and Range Science from North Dakota State University. After receiving his Master's Degree, Philip worked for the North Dakota State University Research Center in Hettinger, ND. After six years with the NDSU Research Center, he returned to Pipestone where he was employed by the University of Minnesota Extension Service in Pipestone County for eleven years. Philip began his role as a Lamb and Wool Instructor in June of 2005.

He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Animal Science. He worked as an extension agent for the University of Minnesota Extension Service for three years prior to becoming an instructor. Mike has been with the Lamb and Wool program for the last 39 years. Under his guidance, the program has worked with over 10,000 sheep producers from all over the United States and several foreign countries, bringing them the latest in sheep management information. His innovative sheep management concepts and producer education methods have helped producers in the Pipestone area prosper in sheep production, earning the reputation of being on the "cutting edge" of sheep management technology. Mike is sought after as a speaker on sheep programs throughout the country and also a judge for many major sheep shows. He owns and has managed seedstock sheep operations, lamb feedlots, and large commercial ewe flocks. In addition, he has been a consultant to feed companies, lamb packing plants, sheep equipment manufacturers and government agencies. He has served as President of the National Sheep Association; chairman of the National Sheep Industry Development Board; President of the American Hampshire Sheep Association; Coordinator of the National Sheep Industry Leadership School and as president or director of numerous state and regional sheep associations. He was inducted into the Minnesota Livestock Hall of Fame in 1994.

She holds a B.S. in Office Administration from Southwest Minnesota State University. Jodi is an integral part of helping our students succeed. She and her husband, Brian have 3 children. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading and loves summer outdoor activities.

He holds a B.S. in Agricultural Business and a B.A. in Commercial Economics from South Dakota State University. He also holds an MBA from Southwest Minnesota State University. He is also a certified Risk Management Consultant through the Minnesota Department of Agriculture. Mike has been awarded the MAAE Region 6 Outstanding Beginning Adult Farm Management Instructor, and the program has been awarded the MAEE Region 6 Outstanding Adult Farm Management Program.
Mike is married and has 3 children. He enjoys spending time on his farm, playing sports and taking part in many outdoor and sportsman activities. In his previous life before Farm Business Management, he was an agricultural lender for 15 years.

Prior to joining the team at Minnesota West, he worked as a high school agriculture teacher. Kent has his MEd in Agricultural Education. Kent and his wife Jolynn, have 4 children. Previously, Justin taught at Martin County High School and at Maple River High School. In 2006, he was awarded the Outstanding High School Program and in 2014 the Outstanding FBM Program. He and his wife Jill have 3 children: Morgan, Colby and Cade. He enjoys hunting, fishing, golf and officiating football and basketball games.
